
McCallum Scholarship
The McCallum Scholarship was established in 1993 to honor Mac and Phoebe McCallum – educators who inspired and shaped students’ lives – with the purpose of affording deserving students the opportunity to continue his/her education after high school.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, candidates shall be a graduating Fort Mill High School senior which meet the following requirements:
- Have been accepted at an accredited two or four-year institution of high learning or technical college
- Have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher (This may be lowered by the Selection Committee if they see need and probability of success in the candidate.)
- In addition to the above-listed eligibility requirements, the following are considered: evidence of activity of a campus leader and promise of future achievement
- Preference will be given toward (but not limited to) the pursuit of vocational or technical teaching or nursing
- Evidence of financial need.
SELECTION PROCESS: A committee composed of a Fort Mill High School administrator, a guidance counselor, and vocational teachers shall review the applications and select the recipient.
AMOUNT: One $2,000 scholarship.
APPLICATION: To apply, complete application; provide parent financial statement; and return to Guidance Office no later than March 31.
